Oleg Chernov was born in Krasnoyarsky Krai on March 14, 1962. In 1991 he graduated from Stavropol art college. He learnt to feel the beauty of painting in the studio of Stavropol artist P.S.Gorban. From 1991 has been actively working and participating in the Russian artistic life as an expressionist. Since 2003 he’s been a member of Russian Artists’ Creative Union (IFA). In 2009 he entered IFA Creative Union management board. He continues an expressive line of gesture painting. At present works at an independent artistic school in Tosno, Leningradskaya region as a teacher in painting. Oleg Chernov:
«Pictures, like people, have their own stories. And these stories are like legends and parables. You can synchronize your life’s watch with them and find an answer to any question, even unexpectedly and by chance. People tell their life stories and with this fill the life itself, giving it a bit different overtones. And these today’s stories are like Biblical parables and thus they have continuation. Each story has its listeners, and each artist has his viewer, who expects a new story from him about people, life, us all who met by accident at this crossroad. And I want to dedicate to you my story about life moments, which are sometimes sad, sometimes happy. I want to awake you for a simple, quiet human life, in which everything is beautiful, that’s why I depict it all: these people and this world.
