Painting of the American artist invites spectators at once into the bright, full of sincere and mincing passions of the theatre, carnival, masquerade. Rich colours, free brush, impressive postures… Faces are impressed in the moment of inspiration or strong feeling. Her works remind sketches for a luxury “costume” cinema.

Asya Livschitz was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
In the childhood she was learnt drawing and won an invitation to the camp “Young Artist”.
In 1989 immigrated to the U.S.A.
She studied drawing, painting and sculpture in the University of Pennsylvania.
She graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She teaches painting at the Art-Studio.
She is a participant of numerous personal and collective shows and exhibitions through all the America from Philadelphia to New Jersey and abroad.
Works by Asya Livschitz are in private collections in the U.S.A., Russia, France, Israel and Australia.
