“This exhibition is a collection of works made during the last years.
These are works of matrix type, aimed at overgrowth and metamorphosis of painting field, varying and oversetting the existing theme.
All works from this collection are exposed for the first time.
I never choose or make up a theme, it’s life itself which from time to time brings me close to some object or word, and in surprise I stumble upon my own feeling. And it turns out that the word or the object have already transformed in my mind into a desire to paint. I don’t know how to paint, and yet more willingly and intensively I get down to work. At this very moment the internal resource of invading feelings clears up, as well as my readiness to clarify it till reaching the necessary coloristic consistency and expressiveness. Sometimes a big format and an easily defines composition are enough, but more often a series appears, arranged during the work into one whole matrix composition. There is no one single theme or a prevailing genre like landscape-portrait in the project, but there is a dramatic absence of time, place and action. I would like this unity of absence to strengthen presence of the painting principle to distinct visualization. To fill the four exhibition capacities of the gallery like “pen-cases”, same as the mean knight’s chests were full.
But it’s necessary to keep the secret and the question whether I myself know this secret. Without extra mysticism: there is a secret”.

Viktor Vladislavovitch Sachivko
Was born in 1959.
Graduated from Krasnoyarskaya Academy of Architecture, an architect.
A member of the Russian Artists’ Creative Union in International Federation IFA UNESCO. He’s professionally engaged with art design, painting, design, graphics, video.
Since 2000 he’s been a head of Actual Art Practices department at Krasnoyarsky Cultural and Historical Museum Complex (museum design, author’s art projects, workshops).
He’s been participating in art projects and exhibitions since 1987.

An artist, an actor, an engineer… Gennady Ivanovitch Bednostin was born in Vladivostok.
His brightest childhood, adolescence and youth impressions are: vast spaces of the Pacific, sun and starry sky of subtropics, primeval beauty of the Ussuriisky taiga, which is a marvel of the Far East flora and fauna.
He received a craving for painting in early childhood from his father. The 30s, the war, postwar period, the year of 1953 were a powerful load of life impressions.
Comprehension, unveiling of true values of the surrounding world went on in a never-ending fight with himself, instinctively. “Squeezing out” slave mentality became a basis of internal liberation…
From 1956, after graduating from Moscow Technical Institute of Fishing named after Mikoyan his life is connected with St Petersburg. Searches of “his own” way never stopped. A job of industrial engineer did not bring him satisfaction.
A whirl of fortune was entering the evening vocal department of Leningrad State Conservatoire. “Workflow” of students in a vocal workshop resulted in a trauma of vocal cords.
Then there was admission to the art studio affiliated to the House of Culture named after Volodarsky to improve drawing technique. Studying at Higher Art School became reality. But then came another sudden whirl of fortune, and he was admitted to acting department of Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema named after N.Ostrovsky (LGITMiK), USSR people’s artist V.V.Meruriev’s and I.V.Meierhold’s studio.
In 1965 the theatre institute was finished with a red diploma. There were over 30 years of work in theatres of Leningrad, Vladivostok, Vorkuta, Vladimir, Petrozavodsk, Liepaja, etc.
From 1983 he worked in Murmansk Drama Theatre.
Work in graphics continued during all those years...
