INTERACTIVE ACTION IN SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH AIDS
in the small hall

Come on May 19 and leave a print of your palm!
Children need to know that you sympathize with them and support them!

On May 19, from 14.00 till 18.00 in the Borey Art Gallery there will be an action in support for the children with AIDS. Organizers of the event are: Fund “Doctors for Children” and the Borey Art Gallery; they invite everybody to leave multicoloured palm prints on a white canvas to perform your civic position. 
The action will be hold for the second time; it became a good annual tradition.
In 2006, about 300 took part in the action. This year, the action is dated for May 20 – the World day of memory of the AIDS victims. 

By now, in St. Petersburg there are more than 2300 children born by AIDS-infected mothers. About 20% of them were left by parents. 
The aim of the action is to attract attention of the city dwellers to the problem of AIDS.
The action is added with a photo exhibition portraying homeless and neglected children and teenagers among whom AIDS is registered in more than 30%. Visitors of the exhibition and participants of the action will receive red bands as symbols of the memory and support of people who are aware of the epidemic of AIDS.
Musicians of the Petersburg group “King of Bongo” will play several compositions for the participants of the action. 

The action is hold under the slogan “We join people, we help children”.
