All the photos are made on the black-and-white film and printed without any changes of the images. A part of photos are hand-printed on the classical paper; another part are made in photolab. The seria “Temporary Madness” is made with ordinary single exhibit on the overdue film.
Dmitry Nesmelov was born in Leningrad, on July 13, 1983. He has been working with photos since 2001. Since 2002 he has been a member of the photostudio “9th Line”. He took part in projects and exhibitions of the studio as well as in various Russian and foreign photo competitions. Since 2006, Member of the Union of photoartists of Russia. He makes mainly black-and-white photos, he prefers hand-print. In his works he tries to use properties of the image language as much as possible, putting special attention to plot, too. Object is not extremely important for him, but rather often there is city – people, streets and architecture.
