"There are many unsolved mysteries behind each of these pictures, which maybe even do not relate to these people. For instance, the one about a hundred turtles which dashed to the Yamuna when we appeared, or about the Main Bazaar and skill acquisition hash, or about dish washing with ashes and hand washing with clay.  Or about an Englishman talking about Jesus, who, naturally, didn’t die on the cross, because mahayogi don’t die of this.
Landscapes? Landscapes leave much space in your mind for a fantasy of what’s really going on there. Maybe, it’s the dawn of day. And maybe, another Indian Mondays starts, and some Indian from the low caste has to saw another rail with a handsaw, because it’s his job. Or somewhere behind the trees an exemplary wife and mother of (yet) three children in her green Punjabi is walking for vegetables to the town market along a dusty road.

Kirill Ivanov
Was born in Leningrad in 1978, where he’s been living up to the present day.
He’s been engaged with photography since 2007. In 2008 attended Paolo Dell’Elce’s creative workshop.
Last year’s graduate of Galperin photo faculty.
