Sergey Bakin
was born in Leningrad in 1957. He finished secondary art school affiliated to the Academy of Arts, Mukhina Art Academy, department of fashion design.

For seven years he worked within his specialty in Leningrad House of Fashion. In the world of fashion he was notices as one of the most talented Russian dress-designers. His collection shown in Munich at the end of 80s made such a great impression on western designers, that the young artist was immediately offered a two-year on-the-job training in Ives Saint Laurent’s company.

He considers Rodion Gudzenko, an artist of the older generation of Leningrad underground, to be his teacher. Today Sergey Bakin is first of all known as an exquisite artist and a masterful drawer. His works have become a precious stone of many Russian and foreign private collections. There are quite many solo and collective shows in Russia and abroad under the master's belt.
