Arkady Polyakov was born in 1973 in the city of Vologda and spent his childhood there. It is an old Russian city which encircled and enriched the author’s imagination and it is presented in a way in almost all his pictures. Cathedrals and churches (Polyakov graduated from college with the specialization in restoration of old wooden buildings; he works in a work-shop on the territory of the Vologda Kremlin) are side by side with various, sometimes frightening, sometimes sentimental persons of our common-day life, which are performed in the individual and unique author’s perception.
Graphic which is to be presented at the exhibition is full with various moods: spring positive and bell rings, fear and love and always beauty and harmony.
